Materials

  • #3 DK Yarn 
  • E (3.5 mm) hook
  • Row counter  
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors
  • 2” diameter fur poms (2)

Yarn

  • Red-Yarn Bee Spinesse 1 skein in Red/07

Gauge 28 dc over 9 rows=4” square. Gauge is not critical for this project. 

Stitch Abbreviations

  • Sc-single crochet
  • Dc-double crochet
  • Sl st-slip stitch
  • St-stitch
  • Ch-chain

Directions

With red, ch 23.

Row 1. Dc in the 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn. (21 dc)

Row 2. Sc through the front loop only in each dc across. Ch 2, turn. (21 sc)

Row 3. Dc in the first sc, *dc through the front loop of the next dc in the row below the sc, dc in the next 3 sc. Repeat from * across. Ch 1, turn. (21 dc)

Row 4. Sc through the front loop only in each dc across. Ch 2, turn. (21 sc)

Row 5. Dc in the first 3 sc sts, *dc through the front loop of the next dc in the row below the sc, dc in the next 3 sc. Repeat from * across. Dc in the last sc st. Ch 1, turn. (21 dc)

Repeat rows 2-5 23 times or until piece measures approximately 28” long. Do not chain at the end of the last row. 

Bunch the ends together accordion style and sew to secure. 

Sew 2” diameter fur poms onto both of the bunched ends. Weave in ends.
