Custom built doll furniture can be a little expensive. While the craftsmanship is definitely worth it, sometime it just isn’t in the budget. You can create your own doll furniture without any wood crafting skills! This TV console table can be modified to be a coffee table, nightstand or even a dining table. If you have scrap wood laying around, use what you have and create a unique piece!
What you will need:
- Craft wood plaque 5″x7″ (you can purchase larger or smaller ones depending on the type of table you would like to make)
- 1″ square wood board
- Superglue (or wood glue)
- Hand saw
- Wood stain (I used Minwax Puritan Pine)
- Craft felt

Use of hand saw must be done by an adult. First I marked and cut the 1″ square wood pieces with the hand saw. For the TV table they are 4 3/4″ long. The 5″x7″ wood plaque I purchased in the craft wood section at Hobby Lobby. It is flat on one side and tapers in on the other. The flat side is the top and the tapered side is the bottom. Once the legs are cut, glue them to the bottom of the table. I used superglue since it is quick to dry and adhere, but you can use wood glue as well and allow for the dry time.

Once the pieces are glued together, stain the table and let dry overnight.

Then I cut out a little squares of craft felt and glued them to the bottom of the table legs so the wood would not snag the carpet in the dollhouse or slide around on wood doll flooring.

Courtney’s TV table is now finished and she can get back to watching Care Bears without having to sit on the floor.

This table is wonderful and looks easy! I have been crafting for my dolls, mostly food and creating printables but it’s fun to create!
Thank you very much! It is so much fun to create!! Food in miniature is so adorable! I’ll definitely have to try to make some!
