What you will need:

• Worsted Yarn-I Love This Cotton! 1 skein in Taupe
• E (3.5mm) hook
• Ribbon (5/8” wide)
• Berries and leaves clipped from a floral stem
• Row counter & stitch markers
• Yarn needle
• Scissors
• Hot glue

Gauge: 24 sc over 24 rows=4” square

Stitch Abbreviations:

• Sc-single crochet
• Inc-increase
• Dec-decrease
• Sl st-slip stitch
• St-stitch
• Ch-chain

Directions:

With E hook and taupe, ch 4. Sl st to the first ch to create a ring. 

Pattern is worked in continuous rounds. Place marker at the beginning of each round.

Row 1. Work 8 sc into the center of the ring. (8 sc)

Row 2. Work 2 sc in each st around. (16 sc)

Row 3. *sc in the next st, inc. Repeat from * around. (24 sc)

Row 4. *sc in the next 2 sts, inc. Repeat from * around. (32 sc)

Row 5. *sc in the next 3 sts, inc. Repeat from * around. (40 sc)

Row 6. *sc in the next 4 sts, inc. Repeat from * around. (48 sc)

Row 7. *sc in the next 5 sts, inc. Repeat from * around. (56 sc)

Row 8. *sc in the next 6 sts, inc. Repeat from * around. (64 sc)

Row 9. *sc in the next 7 sts, inc. Repeat from * around. (72 sc)

Row 10. Sc through the back loop only in each st around. (72 sc)

Row 11-17. Sc in each st around. (72 sc)

Row 18. Work this row through the front loop only, *sc in the next 8 sts, inc. Repeat from * around. (80 sc)

Row 19. *sc in the next 9 sts, inc. Repeat from * around. (88 sc)

Row 20. *sc in the next 10 sts, inc. Repeat from * around. (96 sc)

Row 21. *sc in the next 11 sts, inc. Repeat from * around. (104 sc)

Row 22. *sc in the next 12 sts, inc. Repeat from * around. (112 sc)

Row 23. *sc in the next 13 sts, inc. Repeat from * around. (120 sc)

Row 24. *sc in the next 14 sts, inc. Repeat from * around. (128 sc)

Row 25. *sc in the next 15 sts, inc. Repeat from * around. (136 sc)

Row 26. *sc in the next 15 sts, sl st in the next 2 sts. Repeat from * around. (136 sc)

Row 27. Sc in each st around. (136 sc)

Sl st to the next st. Fasten off. Weave in ends. 

Finishing

Hot glue the ribbon around the base of the hat. Trim off excess. Cut another long piece of ribbon and fold it over in two loops so it looks like a bow but does not have a knot in the center. Glue together. Glue three leaves to the center of the bow and then three berries on top of the leaf. Glue to the hat, covering the seam of the ribbon.
