Materials
- Worsted Yarn: Knit Picks Brava 1 skein in Wine
- H (5 mm) Hook
Gauge
16 sc over 24 rows working through the back loop only=4″ square
Instructions
ch 141.
Row 1. Sc in the second ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn. (140 sc)
Row 2. Sc through the back loop only in each st across. Ch 1, turn. (140 sc)
Row 3-11. Repeat row 2.
Row 12. Sc through the back loop only in each st across. (140 sc)
Fasten off. You can either weave in the ends or hide them in the fringe. To attach the fringe strands, cut strands about 6″ long. Fold it over the hook at the center of the strand. Insert your hook into a stitch along the short end of the scarf.

Yarn over with both strands and pull through the loop. I have attached 2 strands of yarn per row.

Once you have attached all the strands of yarn, trim ends to about 1 1/2″ long. Repeat instructions for the fringe on the opposite end of the scarf.
