• #3 Light Worsted Yarn
• 3.00 mm hook
• Row counter
• Stitch markers

• Gray-Yarn Bee The Soft Standard 1 skein in Speckled Feather

Gauge 20 hdc over 16 rows=4” square. Be sure to check your gauge to ensure fit. Adjust hook or yarn size if necessary.

Row 9. Hdc in the next 14 sts, ch 1, skip the next 23 sts, hdc in the next 30 sts, ch 1, skip the next 23 sts, hdc in the next 14 sts. Ch 2, turn. (58 hdc, 2 ch)

Row 10. Hdc in the next 14 sts, hdc through the front loop in the next ch, hdc in the next 30 sts, hdc through the front loop in the next ch, hdc in the next 14 sts. Ch 2, turn. (60 hdc)

Row 11-15. Hdc in each st across. Ch 2, turn. (60 hdc)

Row 16. *hdc in the next 9 sts, 2 hdc in the next st. Repeat from * across. Ch 2, turn. (66 hdc)

Row 17-18. Hdc in each st across. Ch 2, turn. (66 hdc)

Row 19. *fpdc in the next st, bpdc in the next st. Repeat from * across working the last bpdc in the turning ch st. Ch 2, turn. (66 sts)

Row 20. *bpdc in the next st, fpdc in the next st. Repeat from * across working the last fpdc in the turning ch st. Ch 2, turn. (66 sts)

Row 21. *fpdc in the next st, bpdc in the next st. Repeat from * across working the last bpdc in the turning ch st. Ch 2, turn. (66 sts)

Fasten off. Weave in ends. 

Sleeves

Create a slip knot and pick up the chain st under the arm for either arm. 

Row 1. Sl st in the ch st to join, hdc in the same st, hdc in the next 23 sts. Ch 2, turn. (24 hdc)

Row 2-10. Hdc in each st across. Ch 2, turn. (24 hdc)

Row 11. *fpdc in the next st, bpdc in the st. Repeat from * across. Bpdc in the turning ch. Ch 2, turn. (24 sts)

Row 12. *bpdc in the next post st, fpdc in the next post st. Repeat from * across. Fpdc in the turning ch. (24 sts)

Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing. Turn the sleeve inside out and whipstitch the seam together. Weave in ends. 

Repeat instructions for the opposite sleeve. 

Cowl Neck

Create a slip knot and slip stitch to the first chain st along the neckline to join. 

Row 1. Hdc in the same ch as join and in each ch across. Ch 2, turn. (48 hdc)

Row 2. *fpdc in the next st, bpdc in the st. Repeat from * across. Bpdc in the turning ch. Ch 2, turn. (48 sts)

Row 3. *bpdc in the next post st, fpdc in the next post st. Repeat from * across. Fpdc in the turning ch. (48 sts)

Row 4. *fpdc in the next st, bpdc in the st. Repeat from * across. Bpdc in the turning ch. (48 sts)

Fasten off. Weave in ends. 

Border

Create a slip knot and pick up the edge of the back opening and work a sc border along the edge of the rows. Fasten off. 

Create a slip knot and pick up the opposite edge and work a sc border along the edge of the rows. Fasten off. Weave in ends. 

Sew snap closures along the back opening edges. I used 5 closures and placed them about 4 rows apart.
